"We stayed here for one night, and never again! On the surface the hotel looks clean and modern. However, don't expect a good night's sleep. We had an air conditioning machine humming for most of the night which meant I could not sleep. The reception team said they couldn't move us as the other rooms had the same noise, which was apparently the water purifier and was only going to be noisy during 3-4am. This noise was continuous from 2am until 5:30! So clearly they tell you anything to fob you off. I spoke to the "manager" in the morning and asked about he refund. He agreed this was warranted and asked me to email the owner. Not heard anything back from them so will have to do a chargeback if I want to see any of my money back. Please don't waste your money staying here."

"Nothing wrong with the hotel per say, the pre-requisite of checking in takes longer than it needs to be and the inital deposit for the room (incase you charge anything back to it) is not very forthwith considering its £100 which is on the costly side for a deposite. Im still waiting for it to be released back to me. A simple card check would have suffied. Unfortunately the spa facilities were closed during my stay."

"Good free parking. Excellent breakfast good choice and nice and hot. Air conditioning and heating not working in room an electric heater provided but I was not informed of this by hotel staff. The room was clean and serviced daily. "

"Great position, sunny afternoon siting lakeside was wonderful. The hotel was a little tired but clean. Breakfast was horrendous, went down at 9:30 ( breakfast finished at 10:30) and didn’t actually receive by cooked breakfast until 10:45, 1.5 hours for a very basic breakfast is just not acceptable. I would image the kitchen being under resourced, plenty of serving staff, just nothing coming out."

"Not sure how its a 4-star. Anyway, the restaurant was really good, great food (but a bit heavy on cheese and light on mushrooms in the risotto) and wine. Special recognition for Tilly, who was very attentive. The fire alarm went off 12 times in the night, really? The room, No. 17, was way too hot, maybe that's what triggered the alarm? The heated towel rail was on full and I couldn't see how to turn it off. The bathroom extractor fan ran on for ages."

"Check in was with an ipad and wanted me to pay again. i had to go in and get help. the first room was ok. beds and pillows comfy. but got up to get ready for my brothers funeral to find no hot water for a shower and breakfast was a microwaved sandwich - which we refused. we went elsewhere for breakfast at a local cafe. we went back to the hotel to move rooms - still no hot water. We were told by a young lady that she could do nothing about the hot water. i washed my hair with cold water and went to the funeral. we got back to the second room and was told that the water was fixed. i did get a hot shower that night. i will not be going back to this hotel. "
