Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Warwick-Providence (Arpt) by IHG
6/10 Okay
"Hot water ran out more than once, floor tiles in bathroom shifted underfoot because grout was old and cracked, “fitness center” is a joke, ants in the pool area, TVs are small. Beds are comfy and staff is nice, but we left a day early. "
"This hotel was a cute idea but the property felt like it was way past its prime even for a boutique hotel. The room was bare bones: no closet, no full-length mirror, no amenities like a fridge or coffee maker or minibar, no safe, rug was threadbare. Bathroom was so tiny it was actively hard to shower and there was nowhere to put anything. The cafe downstairs seemed like it had at one point been a fully stocked really nice little cafe, but there was never any food in the baked goods area, the shelves were empty, and the area behind the counter was mostly used for storage. The staff were all really nice but also really young, like college students. All in all this place had a haunted vibe, not as in ghosts, but as in a place that was a fraction of its former self. Can’t say I’d stay there again. "
"A below average property. Busted things in my room, such as the safe and the shower surround. It is disappointing when you spend hard earned money and expect nice surroundings with the Hilton brand. A cheap property owner."
"I wish that whoever owns this Best Western property would make exceptions for those who reserve rooms through other websites like Hotels.com The young man who checked me in gave me some info on benefits of joining Best Western's Program. I don't stay at Best Western other than there near T.F. Green airport. That might change after this last stay. As I made reservation through Hotels.com I was stuck at the furthest end of the hotel. Room 200. The highway going to/from the airport runs right under (SOUNDS LIKE) Room 200. I slept well until 3 a.m. but then got awakened by the road traffic until 6. I am happy they extended their breakfast serving time until 10 a.m. as I was able to sleep on the plane with my full belly. Another plus is the "on demand" airport shuttle." So, going forward I'm going to see what they will give me for a room. I broke my neck on Aug. 5, 1979 and medically retired from the USAF officially on Dec. 27, 1983. There are several hotels in the area that have the free airport shuttle. TSA might not be working elsewhere but at T.F. Green I left hotel 1 3/4 hours prior to my flight. I should have slept for an additional hour!!"
