"Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. On arrival we were met by Molly who showed us to our room. We stayed on a bank holiday weekend and the bar area was very busy, great outdoor area with Mexican bar. We booked the double superior room (room 1) which has plenty of space. Huge four poster bed. Large en-suite with large shower. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities provided in room. TV, Hair dryer, ironing board, fan also in the room.The only issue that maybe a problem is the room windows do back onto the beer garden but this didn't bother us at all. Prices at the bar were very reasonable. Didn't have food so can't comment on that. Check out was 11am so not to early and its just putting room key into the box before leaving (so easy)."

"not suitable for people with mobility issues no lift stairs steep. no amenities whatsoever. in need of complete refurbishment. had noise of dogs yapping from another room well past 11pm. would not stay again"

"I booked a Club Room and was very disappointed at how dated and dingy the room was. Room smelled mouldy, woodwork chipped, ironing board burnt, shower curtain black with dirt at the hem, toilet bowl stained with limescale. No electricity sockets by bed. Definitely not good value for money."

"I paid on arrival at 5:10pm, to be then asked for my card details in full that made me feel uncomfortable so l froze my bank card. So glad l did as the young girl tried to charge me again 4 times from 9pm up until 9:30pm, she clearly gave up and although the Manager Islam was helpful l am yet to receive assurance via email that their error won’t be duplicated. I would avoid if l am honest"

"Great room,clean, comfortable and perfect for our one night stay. Great bath and shower with plenty of hot water. Enjoyed a lovely carvery meal in the evening but skipped breakfast as we had a long drive. Food menu very comprehensive and very reasonably priced. Lovely staff."
