"We loved our stay at Refugio del Volcan. We’ve been travelling through Central America for c 8 weeks and this accommodation stands out as one of the best. We had the apartment unit at the top, which has the most incredible views of the lake! The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet at night for a great night sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and nice hot shower in the bathroom. It’s a fair distance from San Pedro town centre but walkable, and very easy to get a Tuktuk to and from the town for circa 20Q. We couldn’t fault our stay and would totally recommend to other travellers! "

"The room was beautiful with a volcano view. Staff goes above & beyond to help you with everything. The hotel is minutes away from the dock to take the lanchas. The food and drinks were amazing. Beautiful pool as well. Overall a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend "

"Beautiful hotel, has been renovated and has classy colonial style rooms. The views are stunning and in the morning it was wonderful to sit in our patio listening to the chirping of the birds. The restaurant has a good selection and the wait staff is friendly and eager."
