"We arrived later in the evening for our stay. We were greeted by two staff members at the front desk and welcomed. The hotel was lovely and quaint. We had such an amazing stay. The room was very comfortable. Even though I was concerned about sounds from the hallway and the train whistles, we rarely heard any ambient noises. It was a magical place to stay. We loved the train decorations, especially my daughter who loved the green lanterns used by past generations of train lines. This is an amazing little hotel and would highly recommend staying off the beaten path at this hotel. The only down side was that there isn't a small gym or workout equipment but there is a pool, which was extra fun with the water fall feature."

"We loved the view, overlooking the lake and watching the moon and sun rise each day. It's the best part about renting a cabin at the state park instead of a hotel in town. However, there are no "amenities" which are usually helpful in a hotel stay. Last time we stayed here our cabin had a kitchen. We expected the same this time, but there was no kitchen-Not even a small refrigerator or microwave as hotel rooms usually have. There was a coffee pot, but no filters. The bathroom shower included a space for shampoo and conditioner, but none was provided. The cabin includes a closet, but only one wire hanger. The TV is tiny. The screen door slams shut when exciting the front door. An extra blanket for the cool nights would have been appreciated. Will we stay here again for next year's homecoming? Maybe, but I'll come better prepared knowing now that nothing is provided except a bed and great view."

"Very friendly staff during check in, clean room, comfortable beds. The only thing that may be an issue for people is that the curtains are only sheers and the room wasn't completely dark at night. They should consider getting some regular curtains to cover the sheers"

"Room was clean and comfortable. Heat/cool worked fine. The bathroom was adequate, but tub old and needs higher safety handlebars to step out of the tub. Nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. The beverage vending machines were empty. Had to ask for bottled water at the front desk. This is an older hotel but has reasonable rates."
