"We have stayed here before and we have always really enjoyed it. That is why we keep coming back. We liked the warm welcome we received, the very clean rooms, the lovely breakfast with the amazing jam and helpful staff. In fact we will be returning again on our way home in 2 weeks."

"No on site parking but free in street in front of Hotel. Attic bedroom found pokey. Toilet bowl needed a good clean with Harpic or similar toilet cleaner. Builders on site obviously restoring this very historic hotel. Breakfast room was a makeshift affair. A buffet with no clear one way system a bit chaotic with guests bumping into each other. Food was adequate but basic. Was much better when we stayed in 2013. The breakfast was then in the conservatory which ad recently being demolished. "

"Simple breakfast and no plate or spoon available. Beds and room are clean but bathroom is old and disgusting, I didn't dare to take a shower, no shampoo no hand soap."

"Excellent accommodation, very welcoming and friendly. We were just staying for the evening and didnt have breakfast as we wanted to get away early as we chose this place as it is close to the Centre Parcs Le Bois aux Daims we were staying at from the Monday (and wanted to get the most from pool etc there so needed a place to stay for night before and this was ideal). We were a family of 5 and had the 3 kids in one room with us in the main one but there was plenty of space and more facilities than we expected in the room for the price - as well as things like fridge and coffee maker there were also microwave, stove, kettle (we do love our tea!), dishwasher, lots of utensils etc, as well as 2 tables and enough chairs for us all and a large wardrobe and various drawers. Lovely quiet location just a short drive from Chinon with its large Fortress / Chateau and river (and very reasonably priced and tasty Pizza takeaway which we went to as being a Sunday evening most places were not open). Would gladly stay again if we were back in the area"

"Lovely hotel in an old country mansion. Beautiful grounds. Very helpful staff able to assist in booking tours. Quiet location 15 min walk into town and slightly closer to train station. Our room was small, but nice. Comfortable bed. Dinner in the restaurant was really delicious. "
