Room was clean that was about the only good thing I can say about this place. Staff was barely helpful. Cleaning staff was rude and loud. At check in was handed my room key and that was all. Wasn’t told my room number, floor I was on or what side of hotel room was on. As I was walking away was told the breakfast hours and that was it.
Elevators have two doors. One door is guests, while “rear door” opens on the first floor to cleaning staff/laundry room area. On several occasions guest and cleaning staff elevator doors opened at the same time and instead of allowing guest to have the elevator the cleaning staff rushed in to the elevator with their large rolling carts forcing guests to wait for next elevator.
Called front desk for extra pillows, first was told I had to walk to the front desk for them. Once at the front desk was told they don’t give extra pillows. Tried again Next day was told they would bring them to our room never happened.
Breakfast was a no go, tasted weird.
From the photos this La Quinta looked fairly new and updated so thought it would be good. Was wrong! This stay reminded me why we had stayed away from La Quintas. I’ll gladly pay a little more to stay somewhere else. You can take the La Quinta out of the ghetto but you can’t take the ghetto out of the La Quinta.
