Tokatoka Resort Hotel

"The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the room itself was okay. However, our stay was let down by poor communication and lack of attention to detail.Other guests did not respect the 10 PM quiet hours and spent nights partying until midnight. Housekeeping was also inconsistent; one day they removed a towel leaving us short for a couple, they forgot to replenish our toiletries, and every time they made the bed, the cushions and bed covers looked messy and out of place.Most frustratingly, this trip was for my husband's birthday. I requested a special surprise for the next morning on our arrival. They agreed, but nothing happened. When I followed up, I found out the team had not passed the information to each other. Although the lady at the bar offered to fix it after I complained, her attitude was quite dismissive, which was very disappointing.Ironically, we had dinner next door at the Gateway Hotel, and their service was amazing—they truly went the extra mile even though we weren't staying there. Overall, the stay was just okay, but small details make a big difference. Next time, we will try somewhere else."
Tanoa International Hotel

"The Tanoa was a complete hidden gem. We booked this stay for a single night before we fly home from Fiji and we regretted not booking with them a few days longer. The bar was a very lively spot at night and had amazing cocktails made by the Great Filamoni!!! He was so fun and witty and kept great company. Our dinner was absolutely fantastic and we felt very well catered to by our host Saiasi. He was great at anticipating our needs and was ready to help immediately! He was one of the best hosts we have experienced. We booked one of the suite rooms and it was massive inside. It kind of has a vintage 80's Scarface Luxury vibe to the room, but everything was very well taken care of and extremely clean. We were blown away at how great the whole experience was! We will be back to Fiji in a few years for our anniversary and we will definitely be booking with the Tanoa again!!!"

"Place is only good for minimum 1 night stay. While the room looks clean, it’s a 2 star place because the rooms have no sound proofing, the bathroom area is small, the door has to be slammed shut or else the alarm goes off and they use a very strong fragrance in the room."

"Wow, what a beautiful spot for our first night in Fiji. From the moment the shuttle bus arrived at the airport we felt right at home! The staff are beautiful and the resort is so well maintained with the most gorgeous gardens. The restaurant has such a great menu with beautiful staff. We loved the pool and the waterslide was a bonus. We only needed to stay one night but we definitely could have stayed plenty more!"

"There was no coffee or tea in our room. There was no garbage bin in our room. Wasn't provided despite asking. Saw a dead cockroach in our room. One of the fan in our room wasn't working. Internet was only available in the bar. There was no house keeping service. There was a surcharge for egg and sausage for breakfast despite breakfast was included, there wasn't any juice or water for the guest"

"The airport shuttle was very easy. We absolutely loved our stay at the Fiji orchid. What a great way to begin our travels! This was a perfect beginning to our Fujian adventure. The staff was excellent and they took such good care of us. What an amazing place to stay."

"I called and messaged ahead of time that my flight is delayed so I will be checking in late. When I arrived the hotel was closed and was locked up- gate had a huge ped lock. We couldn’t get in. We had to find a different accommodation. Very disappointing. Want my refund back."
