We are so glad we found this delightful place to stay for a few days on our trip across Europe. The hotel is cozy and personal with unique items found in nooks throughout. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and included all the essentials. A table with seating for four was a bonus. It wasn’t the season to sit on the balcony but the view out over the valley and mountains was matchless. Our host was friendly and conversational. He gave us good recommendations about the area. Breakfast was home made and excellent including breads with homemade jam, meat, cheese, fruit, tomatoes, cereal, yoghurt and quark, tea, cappuccino and juice. Tea, coffee and fruit were always available. The hotel is under renovation so is a bit rough around the edges in some places. That in no way interfered with the enjoyment of our stay.

The hotel is perfectly located at the top of the town, just a few minutes’ walk from the Black Forest hiking trail. The rooms offer beautiful views of the surrounding greenery. The owner, Ingolf, truly cares about sustainability and has decorated the hotel with this in mind, while still staying true to its original character. Ingolf is an exceptionally kind and welcoming host. When he learned that my wife is a designer, he personally showed us details around the hotel that might be of interest, and we had a really enjoyable conversation. The atmosphere feels very different from a standard hotel – it’s warm, friendly, and personal. Although we arrived much later than the official check-in time, Ingolf came quickly after we reached him through the booking website and welcomed us with a smile. Breakfast was excellent and exactly what we wanted. We feel very lucky to have discovered this wonderful place and would definitely recommend it.

Wir (2 Erwachsene + 2 Kinder) hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Der Eigentümer, der das Hotel erst kürzlich übernommen hat, hat unser "Standardzimmer" ohne zu zögern upgegraded zur "Familiensuite", da diese gerade frei war. So hatten wir enorm viel Platz und eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf das Tal. Wasser gab es kostenfrei auf dem Zimmer, genauso wie nachmittags Kaffee im Restaurant. Das Frühstück war qualitativ sehr hochwertig, sogar mit selbstgemachter Marmelade und Bio-Rührei. Das Hotel ist für alle diejenigen geeignet, die schlicht, aber gemütlich untergebracht werden wollen. Das Restaurant verfügt im Übrigen über eine "Chill-out"-Ecke und einen Tischkicker- eine tolle Bereicherung! Danke, Ingolf, für deine Mühe, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!

Absolut empfehlenswert! Das Hotel war sehr gemütlich und tipptopp sauber – man merkt einfach, dass hier mit Herz und Liebe zum Detail gearbeitet wird. Der Besitzer ist ein echter Herbergsvater-Typ: herzlich, aufmerksam und immer ansprechbar, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Die Atmosphäre ist wunderbar familiär und indie – fast wie bei guten Freunden zu Besuch. Als Familie haben wir uns richtig wohl und sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt.

Es war zwar ein kurzer Aufenthalt aber sehr sehr schön und ganz familiär. Wir haben wieder einen wundervollen Menschen (Besitzer des Hotels) kennengelernt. Er ist sehr herzlich und mega bemüht. Angekommen haben wir als frisch Verlobte das Hochzeits Zimmer bekommen :-) . Das Hotel ist zwar nicht mehr auf dem neusten Stand …aber daran wird kräftig gearbeitet . Gratis aufs Haus gab es auch noch einen sehr leckere Sekt . :-) Die Lage des Hotels ist grandios . Sehr sehr schön .:-) Wir kommen gerne wieder! …und sind gespannt welche Ideen bis dahin weiter umgesetzt wurden .

Leider war mein Aufenthalt sehr enttäuschend. Das Hotel wirkte unorganisiert, das Geschirr beim Frühstück war nicht sauber und das Frühstück selbst war chaotisch und lieblos. An der Rezeption war kaum Personal vorhanden, und der allgemeine Service ließ stark zu wünschen übrig. Insgesamt entsprach das Hotel in keiner Weise dem Standard, den man erwarten darf.
