"Lesson learned - Don't book a stay with a property that doesn't have a single person on-site or on-call to help. By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key. "We drove the whole day from Amsterdam to get to this hotel. When we arrived, the hotel was completely closed with no staff available to help us. We had to drive back and look for another hotel late at night. This is the first time I have ever seen a hotel completely closed without any staff at all. On top of that, I asked for a refund because we received no service, but they refused to refund my money. Very disappointing experience."
