"Lovely serene location and not far from restaurants. Great staff, restaurant and rooms. No complaints at all"

"Heel schoon en comfortabel verblijf. Hele goede wifi, en Airconditioning 2 schone zwembaden mooi aangelegde tuin. Op korte loopafstand van de hoofdweg met veel restaurants. Ontbijt beschikbaar en op zich goed.. maar traag gereserveerd en verkeerde volgorde. Eerst Fruit dan na 10 minuten het Ei, dan na 10 minuten de toast en de koffie en fruitsap pas na 40 minuten... Maar zou er zo weer terug keren... prima."

"Beautiful hotel providing excellent service."

"Potential for this property is great though it is not ideally located. Huge breakfasts that ranged from buffet to special order based on occupancy. Upkeep and maintenance is not up to western standards for a boutique hotel. No bar, no washcloths etc. An excellent and accommodating staff needs support from the management company Asia Leisure in terms of equipment and supplies."

"wonderful staff. We had a very beautiful sea side room on the top floor. The pool is a bit small but the location to the sea makes up for the small pool. "

"Friendly and happy staff in all areas which says a lot about how the hotel is run. Had my room unexpectedly upgraded on arrival due to a fault found with the originally booked room. The room I had did have a small issue with the private jacuzzi leaking but no major issues. Food and drink were excellent throughout my stay. Highly recommend staying here to anybody wanting a few days of relaxing peace after touring the country."

"The staff was friendly and the stay was very comfortable."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner had good variety and was good value. Nice pool, close to the sea."

"Excellent staff, beautiful property (had the best sunset we saw in Sri Lanka) and great food"

"The owner/host and housekeeping staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. They can arrange tuk tuk for the guests and home style food was so delicous. Due to its location, guests will need to have insects repellent spray applied at all time. Overall very nice stay at villa birdlake. "
