The room was spacious and well maintained by the staff upon request. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was ok, I was late getting there so the eggs were lukewarm but tasty. The pancakes and French toast was never replaced, and while I was within the scheduled time for breakfast there was never any left or the pan was not refilled. For $20 for the buffet I would expect to be able to get whatever is offered. Speaking of offers, I was never offered a cookie on check-in. It wasn’t busy just me…..Overall the hotel was great and I would consider it a Bakersfield gem.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. I’ve had to go to Bakersfield for work several times recently, I’ve tried various hotels and this one is the best by far. This will be our new go to hotel in Bakersfield and when we travel anywhere a Double Tree is available. Very clean, good amenities, balcony, pool, hot tub, gym, ambiance. Only issue was I couldn’t figure out how to work the shower so needed to take a bath but that’s probably a me problem but I wish it was simpler to use.

Liked: Cleanliness
The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. Not very good for long stays. I wish the room had a microwave. It’s a walk to the lobby to use the microwave and it’s a small one. There is also no working ice machine on the 4th floor. You have to walk down a floor. If you order food in, don’t forget to ask the restaurant for paper plates and napkins. There are no plates or napkins anywhere. You have to ask the bar for napkins… Having to wait for the very busy bar tender to free up just to ask for napkins is a little awkward.
