Decided to give Red Roof Inn a try for a one-night stay for a flight layover at BWI. Great location, but paid too much for the quality and overall conditions of the premises; inside and out. No fridge or microwave in rooms. Only one small microwave oven next to the main office and it was filthy and undesirable to use. Ice machine only in the room next to main office despite signs informing there were ice machines on the 1st and 3rd floors. Elevator dirty with food on floor. Small bedrooms, and very dated and in need of remodeling. Positive: good mattress.

Pros: Friendly staff, reasonable price, good water pressure in shower, and close to everything. Cons: Stairways smelled like urine, multiple stains on the comforter, body wash dispenser was empty in the shower, overwhelming smell of cleaning detergent in the room, smell of smoke was wafting in the room in the middle of the night, and bed was quite soft.
