There weren't many American tourists at the hotel, probably because the hotel doesn't have air conditioning but the room was clean and large. The buffet breakfast (at least on Sunday morning) was fantastic and included with my booking.

Das Hotel Residenzschloss in Bamberg können wir mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen. Es steht an einem sehr ruhigen und zentralen Standort für Reisende die die Altstadt, Brauhäuser, Museen, Klöster und Kirchen von Bamberg besichtigen möchten. Zu Fuss ist die Altstadt in ein paar Minuten der Regnitz entlang erreichbar.

Beautiful hotel tucked away from the touristic downtown but still close enough to walk to. The room was clean, comfortable and had a great courtyard view. The restaurant/bar on site was convenient with a descent spread for breakfast. There was parking on site, but you may want to call ahead and reserve a spot if possible.
