Top Bandaramulla Hotel Reviews

Mandara Resort
6/10 Okay
"Be careful if you book a lagoon room it’s along way from the hotel beach and pool
The staff were lovely except an older lady in a sari who was very abrupt
The staff member in charge of the turtles was incredible "

Weligama Bay Resort
10/10 Excellent
"The Junior Suite is wonderful. Hubby and I on our 30 year anniversary trip and this was our last stop of a 14 day trip touring the whole Sri Lankan Island. Weligama is a stunning spot and the stay was high class with a family feel. "

Randiya Sea View Hotel

"Fantastic location, great room and staff"

Sea World Boutique Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"What a fantastic little hotel in Mirissa. The fresh fruit selection at breakfast was amazing. Waking up in a four-poster bed and stepping onto a balcony overlooking the beach and coconut trees was an absolute joy. The pool was lovely, and from the balcony you could even see Coconut Tree Hill.
The location is perfect—within walking distance of Coconut Tree Hill, Mirissa Beach, as well as plenty of restaurants, shops, and spas. Tuk-tuks are easy to find if you want to explore further, but honestly, everything you need is just around the corner.
Lastly, the staff were incredibly attentive, especially Damith, who looked after us so well. Thank you so much."

"What an amazing place! We loved everything about our stay; the woderful staff, the delicious food, our beautiful room, the pools, the views, and even those mischievous monkeys. This boutigue hotel is a true gem."

Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"We had a really good stay at Weligama Bay Marriott. Our stay really raised the bar for our future hotel experiences.
The ocean view from the room was breathtaking, and there was very easy beach access for swimming and surfing.
The hotel staff was really good and helpful as well, including the front desk staff, our concierge Nuwani, Kids Club supervisors Rashmi and Wishmi, as well as all the staff at the Weligama Kitchen whose names we couldn't catch.
Weligama Kitchen - The breakfast buffet included a variety of cuisine, everything was fresh and delicious compared to many places we have been in and beyond Sri Lanka. Everything was clean, and the service was impeccable.
Kids Club - Staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the space was well managed and very clean. The activities for the kids were age appropriate, and there was a variety of activities and a good selection of toys to keep the kids happy and occupied.
Pools - Well maintained and clean, we had no reservations about taking our kids there and having a good time. Related amenities like showers, public bathrooms, towel service were all very reliable.
Overall, a great place for families with little kids. Would certainly visit again. Thanks to everyone at the Marriott who helped make our stay a memorable one."

Radisson Collection Resort, Galle

"Prefer in every way"

Sandy Bliss
4/10 Poor
"We were disappointed with Sandy Bliss. We booked a Superior Double with a King bed and Sea Views - our room was an obstructed/partial sea view, but mostly street view with significant street noise. (photo). The hotel is set behind another building, so few rooms will have unobstructed views as advertised.
I requested to move to a sea view room but was told this was the room I booked, despite the clear discrepancy between listing and reality. They eventually offered a room with a better sea view – still not like the photos – AND required an additional $100 USD for the “upgrade”. Our booking was already double the cost of other sea view options, so we declined; they chose to leave it vacant as opposed to making it right.
The first night, the shower drain was completely clogged causing water to flow onto the bathroom floor. We had to wait for a technician to clear it before I could shower, causing us to miss our sunset dinner reservations. The flooding and repair left the bathroom a mess. When we returned that evening, the bathroom was filled with ants, which made the situation even more unpleasant.
The following morning, we told the front desk about the situation and asked that the room be cleaned and sprayed for ants immediately. We returned at 3pm to find the room still unclean.
Pros: This hotel is located walking distance to Coconut Tree Hill, Parrot Rock. This hotel would be fine as a budget-friendly stay but definitely falls short of what I would expect for the price.
