"It's good just for sleeping if you have a long lay over. Room is okay however no TV, no soap and shampoo. It's just the room and bed. No safe as well for important stuff. "
"Over the years I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and the staff of the Al-Afiah would be rated in the top 5% of the staffs I have dealt with! Very, very, friendly and helpful."
"If it is your first time visiting Brunei, Higher Hotel might be one of the best budget options you could go for. The area is safe, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast is manageable. Morning privacy options (like a simple "Do Not Disturb" sign) and some help with transportation would help put it even higher in the future. As is, it's a fair option located not too far from the hotel and near some shopping areas. "
"Located nice and close to the centre an easy and safe walk, night or day. The pool was good to cool off in and the room was big, clean and comfortable."
"Not much around the area. Room was what I expected/paid for. Would look to stay somewhere closer to attractions next time. Staff was friendly enough. "
"If you have a long layover in Brunei airport, this is a great option. Just downstairs from the departure gates, it is just 2 min walk to departure. Includes some vouchers for drink and food machines, but even when one didn't work, it was only $1 to buy"
"This is a great location and walking distance to all the major monuments and transport and mall
As there was construction on going there was some noise but staff had informed us beforehand.
Breakfast options are great and would recommend "
"Excellent staff, customer service and location.
Let down by dated building and rooms. Carpets were past their used by date and dirty, bathrooms were in terrible condition, again requiring renovation."
