"Generally okay for backpackers or budget travelers, as long as you don’t have a bug phobia.
The rooms were relatively clean, although the white towels were stained. The AC worked really well. The beach and the beach bar were really nice and the suset view was amazing!
We stayed for one night and had five rooms — all of them had huge (I mean 4+ cm) cockroaches, spiders, or both. There wasn’t any proper bug spray available at the time.
Would I stay here again? I could, depending on my budget...
"The property is located on the ocean but the beach isn’t very nice. The rooms are old and outdated. The road on the way to the resort is horrible. All in all it’s NOT worth the price. One positive note, the staff is friendly and helpful."

"Our stay at the Backyard Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. The experience felt like actually sleeping outside with the chickens. The pod smelled of chicken waste, the sink didn’t drain, and the noise was unbearable—constant chicken noises, roosters crowing, and no peace or quiet to rest. We couldn’t wait to leave.
The only saving grace was the staff, who were friendly and helpful, but that does not make up for the dreadful conditions. I would never stay here again. Avoid this place unless...
