"It was luxury at economy price. My only complaint is that none of the restaurants were open on Mondays and I stayed Monday night. The only thing open for breakfast Tuesday morning was a grab and go coffee shop."
"Nothing special. The room was bigger than expected. No bath tub. Cheaply remodeled. Not a bad place just not over the top. Definitely keep your vehicle locked and valuables removed."
"Perfect stay.
Check in was pleasant and easy. We grabbed our stuff and they took the car key for valet from the front desk. Lobby is beautiful and fun. Bar is nice and folks were actually using it, which was great. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Loved the staff. When we checked out they'd already brought our car around.
Our room was on the second floor and was very pretty. We loved the decor, made us feel fancy. Bed was amazing, room temp was perfect, and there was plenty of hot water--so all my must-haves were checked off. Because the building is historic there are oddities. We see them as a feature. We had a window that opened to the lobby below.
Hallway art is amazing. Each room named for an artist. Love that.
There is a third floor roof top area that has a view of the park next door, but it was rented for an event so we didn't really get to check it out.
The location is great for walking to downtown restaurants and clubs. Not a huge nightlife, but there's plenty of good restaurants and bars walkable to the hotel. It's a little far to walk to the casinos at night, but an easy Uber/Lift.
This is the only place I will stay going forward when I make the annual trek to Shreveport."
