"Close to the train station, the beautiful gardens around the abbey ruins and the historic centre of York. Enjoyed the owners friendliness and warmth. Felt very much at home. Excellent breakfast too."

"We attended a wedding and had the best time. Simon worked so hard in difficult circumstances.
The building is beautiful but in need of a fortune spending on it. In saying that we would happily go back "
"The host was very kind and helpful. The Barbican is located just outside the wall, which is brilliant, as inside the walls is quite noisy until very late. We would definitely stay here again!

"My stay at Diamond Lodge was fantastic. I had plenty of rest, and the peaceful, quiet atmosphere made it even better. It was truly worth every moment."
"We stayed here for a couple of nights for a long weekend exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The location is great, being close to a few larger towns like Driffield and Pocklington, but also close to some amazing walking including a stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The room was really lovely, the staff friendly, and the food and beer fantastic. We will definitely stay again when we're next out this way! "
