"We were seriously disappointed in the accommodations this stay at the Quality Inn. We go to Midland every year at this time and usually stay here and it’s always been nicely kept and clean. This time upon checkin we were put in 101- the motel at the back of the property. The outdoor grounds were completely littered with cigarette butts and food garbage that had been ripped apart and a broken shopping cart upside down. Once inside the room there was an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. The furniture was from the 60s and the room was in disrepair. I went to the front desk and asked if there was another room they could put us in because I was not going to sleep in that room. I was told that because we where travelling with a pet, there was 1 more option, so we where given a room inside the main hotel, but in the basement. This room was a bit of an improvement but not much. It still smelled like mold. The lamp didn’t work, there were holes in the wall where pictures once hung. The bathroom door would not latch shut. The heat light in the bathroom was shorting out. There were bugs in the tub and behind the toilet. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed and there were food remnants on the desk. The shower curtain was a ratty dirty looking fabric that was instantly soaked. There was hot water for the first 2 mins of the shower. There was a hot breakfast that was good, but not a fan of eating with wooden utensils. We didn’t use any of the other facilities."
