From there you have a stunning view of the city of Turin.

Built in the 1700's, Basilica di Superga has stunning Baroque-Classicism architecture with a dome that resembles some elements of Michelangelo's Dome at St. Peter's Basilica. It sits perched on top a mountain looking down on the city of Turin and is known for the Royal Crypt, which houses the Savoy family, Dukes and Kings. #blue

You can enjoy the view from the top and super retro mountain train as well.

Well worth the trip up to this basilica. However, it is undergoing renovation work at the moment and was not open to visitors. We could go up the tower though - great views over Turin and the Alps. Even though the basilica wasn't 'open', it was worth visiting for the funicular railway and views.
