"It doesn't look like the photos at all, the building is very old and in poor condition. There is a bad smell on the stairs and corridors, and the rooms are not very clean and very old for me"
"This hotel has to be one of the dirtiest I’ve ever had the misfortune of staying in. When we arrived, we immediately noticed stains throughout the carpet and on the furniture. The bathroom was even worse—it appeared as though it had not been properly cleaned after a serious mess. There was visible splatter on the toilet seat, the base, and even on the floor where we were walking.
After walking barefoot on the carpet for a short time (which I quickly regretted), I stepped into the shower and saw black footprints washing off my feet—it was that dirty. It was honestly disgusting. From that point on, we kept our sandals on at all times inside the room.
What made it even more confusing was that our friends, who were staying in the room next to us, had a completely clean and well-maintained space. I’m not sure what happened with our room or the lack of proper cleaning, but based on this experience, I would have a hard time choosing to stay here again."
"What can I say about this "gem" nestled on the main thoroughfare in Okeechobee? Aside from a prime location, there isn't much to recommend. This Old Florida motel has clearly seen better days.
Upon arrival, the hallway to our room was cluttered with junk. The cleanliness of the room was questionable at best, but the functional issues were worse. The blinds were broken, allowing outside light to bleed in all night; I actually had to hang a sheet just to get some sleep. Ironically, that extra light helped because only two lightbulbs in the entire room actually worked. To top it off, the AC was broken.
I understood the "Old Florida" vibe I was walking into, but a $200 price point for a motel in this condition is outrageous. You expect—and deserve—much more for that price."

"This was my second stay and it’s a great place to stay. There is plenty of parking if you’re traveling with a boat/trailer. They started breakfast at 5:30, which was great for those people leaving early. The rooms are nice and clean."
"Pros: staff was pleasant; great frig in the room; AC worked well; convenient to Lake Okeechobee. Small Coffee maker in room.
Cons: property and room need extensive maintenance and updating. Live roach in bathroom; old stain on sheet. Towels very old in appearance. No breakfast, even simple continental."
