Checked in to room with inoperable deadbolt lock and a nasty bodily fluid stain on the comforter (pic attached).
Went down and politely asked to change room, was rudely interrupted by lady at desk, saying "we'll change your room once and if you don't like the second room, we'll evict and refund you". Zero apology, acted like I was bothering her.
It's not a matter of "liking" the room. It shouldn't be rented in the first place. She admitted that they didn't have a "don't rent" list of rooms and "I don't work 24/7 so I would have no idea if something was wrong".
Second room, electric lock not working, couldn't even get in.
Third room was dingy, with an HVAC unit that shook the floor and was very loud. And the TV didn't work.
I was scared to complain again, since it was 12:30am and I didn't want to get kicked out.
Next morning, new front desk person was much nicer, and he came up and fixed the TV so we decided to finish our second night. He did confirm that it's the hotel policy that "for any reason" if the second room isn't suitable, you get kicked out.
Renters beware, if the room here isn't suitable, even if it's not a matter of opinion (safety, etc), they may just kick you out instead of helping you.
