"I had to chase Expedia and the number provided by sykes cottages almost 7 times in order to get the email with check in instructions. The location was good but the house needs an upgrade and a lot more cleaning specially in the corner areas. Also I requested an hour of late checkout so I can clean out the property before leaving but the housekeeping turned up at 10 on the dot. So had to rush out luckily I packed everything and was only doing final clear out to help them really "

Only on our way to our property were we informed, by text, that the main form of heating is a log burner - and it was our responsibility to buy logs! The central heating was controlled only by the owner, remotely via an app, so we had no way of turning on, off or up the radiators. The temperature on these was set so low they only came on for a bit in the mornings. So essentially, the owner is making guests pay for their own heating. The whole...
