This is a charming boutique hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Janey the cook and her assistant Anushka prepare delicious meals, which are served directly overlooking the sea. Villa Anakao is not situated in a tourist spot. There is a nearby fish stall on a nearby beach which is worth a visit. This hotel is certainly not posh. It is real Mauritius, but is nevertheless a great place to relax after a day of exploring the island, and a fraction of the cost of the much smarter big brand...

Great service, lovely staff, and very clean

What i liked it was close to transport, many dining options. The owner very friendly and made sure i was comfortable.

Excellent food and service

The reception staff was excellent.tbe check in was smooth. Got help from the bagagiste. There was adequate free parking for our rented car. The lunch from the Japanese sextion was absolutely delightful. Going tk Caudan was very easy due to the free water taxi

Great hotel, I arrived a day late and my room was waiting. The gentleman at reception organised a early morning airport transfer and the shower was very good. Thank you. Also the location offers the chance to see another aspect of Mauritius.

Wonderful relaxing stay. This is a very quiet hotel, however there is a shuttle bus into Port Louis which has a fairly vibrant waterfront and a great market heaving with haggling locals. I would recommend hiring a car, at about £35/day. They drive on the left so no problems for British, Australian and New Zealanders. Ille Aux Cerfs was marvellous with a water taxi taking you out to the truly tropical paradise islands, taxi ride takes 5 minutes. It takes 40 - 45 minutes to get to the...

An excellent hotel offering value for money, friendliness and efficiency

Beautiful location right by the beach, lovely pool and excellent restaurant serving different buffet dinners each evening and a good breakfast. Staff are all really friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay , excellent value for money , friendly hosts , highly recommended

The staff were incredible, doing whatever they could to meet your needs. The rooms were clean, bathroom was lovely, balcony was large and with a wonderful sea view, and the bed was very comfortable. All rooms with fans and air conditioning. The restaurant was just starting to open for lunch when we were there, and is now open for dinner although we left just before this happened. The food for lunch was delicious. The beach right out front is not a swimming beach as it is too rocky, but to the...

We went for knowing we wanted a lazy holiday. Our aim was to spend as much time on a sun lounger as possible and I think we managed pretty well. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are SO helpful and we possible the best massages in the Spa we've ever had. We explored the 2 towns close to the resort; Port Louis seemed to be more of a day time excursion, the markets are great and its def worth a visit, but beware of getting hassled (its pretty much the opposite of been in the hotel). Grand Baie...

My wife and I had a great time on this visit to Mauritius because we stayed in an apartment that was clean, comfortable and the owners were both very good at dealing with things promptly. The public beach at Mon Chosie is about 5mins walking and we did not find it a problem and we are both over 60years. We felt very lucky at funding Wanna Studio apartments on Expedia and would definitely be going there on our next visit to Mauritius. The room are comfortable and the owners are very friendly and...
