"Stayed in Fraser Suites after 2.5wks of hostelling around China. Affordable comfortable. Rooms have cooking & washing facilities; spacious bathroom with shower cubicle with waterfall and separate bath; good size living space. Would recommend this hotel as a base for Beijing, bearing in mind metro is 10min walk away and is located in/near business district. Staff very friendly and helpful with good English. There is no bar- only drawback."

"One of the best maintained old hotels in Beijing, New Otani has been consistently well maintained the 2 times I have stayed here. The price so far has been fair and the hotel is of a 4 Star standard or imagine an older 5 star hotel. The rooms are very clean and the hotel in general has been upkept very well. I do have a complaint about the pillows as they are too high! I am nitpicking here but the room slippers are very poor quality too."
