Pechino

Nulla di veramente negativo, anzi sono stati gentilissimi; dimenticato in Hotel il borsello con il passaporto, il cellulare ed il portafoglio e l'anno portato immediatamente in aeroporto distante 15 min in auto. La colazione invece "troppo" cinese, con poche cose occidentali a dispetto del nome "Best Western". Stanza e pulizia sono stati ok. Per ultimo la navetta gratis per vicino aeroporto internazionale. Ottimo e perfetto per una sosta di una notte.

Bon choix pour une nuit en transit

Nous avons séjourné à cet hôtel lors d'une nuit en transfert de Pékin à Montréal. Nous avons choisi en assumant que le nom Best Western serait gage d'un certain niveau de qualité. Bon choix au final. Hôtel un peu vieillot, mais tout à fait acceptable pour passer une nuit et dormir dans un lit confortable. Chambre propre. Malheureusement, pas d'eau chaude lors de notre visite, mais ce doit être une situation exceptionnelle. Déjeuner de type buffet assez varié. Wi-Fi décent. Nous y avons trouvé notre compte. Navette disponible et fut fort apprécié. Ils sont venus nous chercher à l'aéroport et nous a évité les complications. Environ 12 minutes pour se rendre au terminal 3. Quartier sans intérêt, à plus de 35 minutes des attractions comme La Cité Interdite.

Best Western Grandsky Hotel Beijing

It is ok for a short stay.The hotel seems to be located on an industrial estate with no public transport (train, bus or underground) shops or leisure facilities in the immediate vicinity. You could only get their by taxi or walk for about 30 minutes to the nearest train station.The airport shuttle bus service is also very limited and is only until 6pm. On a positive note staff and the free breakfast was very good.

Good to have airport transfer but far from city

It looks like it's close to the city on Expedia but it's an hour away. Still airport transfer was handy. The restaurant in the hotel is good and so is breakfast. The hotel staff speak just enough English to check in but don't get too complicated.

Overnight in Beijing

Hotel was near the airport, the domestic terminal, and about 12 km from the international terminal. Taxi drivers used Google maps to locate the hotel, hey did not speak any English, so it made for a strange ride. Do not expect anyone in the airport or hotel to speak any English.

Ruin best western reputation

Booked the hotel because "best western" name. But the hotel is in very deteriorating condition. The maintenance is lacking big time. Never had disappointed before with best western.

Good value

The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to help. The rooms were well appointed. The only thing letting the hotel down was the non smoking room which I requested smelled like someone was smoking in it, which was annoying.

Thin wall

The wall between guest rooms is so thin that you can hear neighbors talking. I would suggest anyone to look for a different hotel if you need a good sleep. Having said that, the room charges are cheap.

Terrible Airport Shuttle Service

This hotel's shuttle service is terrible. After my flight landed at PEK, I called the hotel to pick me up, the came after 1 hour, then drove to another terminal to wait, wait, and wait.. It took more than 3 hours to finally get to hotel. Wifi at hotel was down, I told them the problems, and it took more than 24 hours to fix it.

Not in Working Order - book cheaper hotel

We spent one night here during a 24 hour layover in Beijing. I only speak English. The staff is friendly, but the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Number one, the Wifi is terrible. It's not just slow, it's difficult simply to connect. Lobby Wifi is bad. Room wifi is worse. Being a traveler dependent on Wifi to plan and coordinate, this was a major issue for us. Much of the hotel rooms and hallways smell like smoke. The initial room we were given had a leak in the ceiling (it was raining that day) and water was literally dripping onto the bed. The staff apologized and upgraded us to a suite, but the suite smelled like smoke. It's supposedly a non-smoking hotel, but there are ashtrays in the rooms. We stayed here in late May, but the Air Conditioning did not work and blew out hot air instead. Needless to say, it was a very hot night and one in which I got very little sleep. The refrigerator left items cool, but not the kind of cold that a working refrigerator would. Free shuttle to the airport, but the driver was semi-rude and definitely did not have a customer service-oriented approach. Waited 25 minutes for pickup at the Airport because the valet was holding a sign for us with our names on it in the wrong terminal, despite having been told the flight number. Without some assistance from some friendly locals at the airport, we probably would have had to take a taxi. Hotel staff has limited to no English abilities.

VERY GOOD PLACE IN BEIJING

I can recommend this hotel. It was a quiet and comfortable place to rest after a 12 hour flight. The shower also was wonderful! The hotel staff were helpful.

Ok hotel

Stayed here twice. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Wifi was so slow on both occasions that I could say it does not work. The restaurant is superb. Bathrooms are clean. Water temperature is not consistent. Mattress and pillow comfort is above average for Chinese hotel. Because of water temp and wifi problems I can not recommend for a comfortable stay, but the price is right for a layover if you are not to picky...

Próximo ao centro de convenções

Bom hotel, próximo ao centro de convenções. Dificuldade na comunicação, pois poucos falam inglês. O bairro tem poucas opções, mas é proximonda estação de metrô (15min a pé).

Hotel in vicinity of Beijing airport

Problems started from my very arrival to Beijing airport. Despite declared shuttle bus service, I did not find it on hotels bus stop near the terminal. The telephone number mentioned in Expedia reservation was wrong, nobody in the airport terminal was able to help me. God bless, I had Chinese Internet modem and after 15 min search got the proper number. After conversation with front desk staff shuttle bus was arranged. It arrived 45 min after contact with hotel instead of promised 15 min. Finally I got to the room 1.5 hours after landing. Staff guy who came with shuttle driver was definitely not happy to help me with my suitcase and clearly demonstrated me this. English of front desk staff was quite poor. Room was pretty small, to open my suitcase (of middle size) I need to block passage between bed and desk. The cleanness of the room was far from perfect, water was not draining from washing bowl.

Good transit hotel near airport

I landed in Beijing airport at 01 am and needed a hotel nearby the airport. The Grandsky hotel was 10 minutes away by Taxi. After waiting for luggage and immigration, It was almost 2 am when I reached the Hotel. The check in took 3 minutes which is much appreciated. Room size was good and bed very comfortable, no smoking or moldy smell in the room. Breakfast was standard, I was expecting better. There is nothing much in the area around the hotel. Overall I am satisfied for the price I paid and it fulfills the purpose of a transit hotel which is comfortable bed and clean room.
