"My son and I each had a room. I did not see the state of my son's room until the next morning. My room: food and giant dust balls under the beds. Thick dust on the AC unit, bathroom vent, lamps. Pee, hair and dirt around the toilet. Crud in the window track. During the night the refrigerator stopped working and the massively iced-over freezer melted all over the floor. I used my towels to soak it up. Son's room: equally dirty. Sock from previous guest on a lightbulb. Missing smoke detector. Hair in refrigerator. Outside: cars on blocks in the parking lot. Tall weeds and garbage around the building. Desk clerk told me to send my photos to the manager, but I got no response from her. I called and was told the manager is out of town and her return date is unknown. Any review over 1 star is faked, even if it says 'verified guest.' This motel is filthy. I contacted the fire marshal about the sock and the missing smoke detector, because obvious lack of maintenance surely means there are other detector issues in this motel. I contacted every corporate Motel 6 email I could find. I hope there is a way to attach my photos after this entry. I thought my son was sleeping for our long, long drive home the next day. Had I known that he was not, we would have left even thought it was midnight. Lastly, the street next to the hotel is used by locals as a hot-rod cruising strip. Racing engines will disturb you most of the night."
"Hotel needs a lot of modernization. Bath was strained brown, there was some kind of mold or something behind the toilet bowl.
Breakfast was not good. Tiny muffins with no description. People screaming at each other at about 1 am!! And someone running up and down the hallway.
This is not as promised In the brochure. I was embarrassed as I had booked a friend a room on our journey back home and this was the place I booked. Wish I could get a refund."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Great Falls by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"We had a leak in the window of the room, maintenance came in promptly and repaired it so we didn’t have to move rooms. The next day we noticed that the floor in front of the window was soaked, like foot drenched. Notified the front desk and they moved us into a king suite for the troubles. Would 100% stay here again. Bryan from maintenance was so helpful and very nice. Very friendly as well."
"We liked: location, historic building, interesting art on the walls, breakfast, free garage parking, etc. Local food options around the area were excellent too. And it is so nice to be in an authentically original hotel compared to chain hotels that seem to be MBA’ed into being all the same."
