I've stayed several times before: it's a big hotel but with character. It's vintage 1970s (I should say):dated but well-kept, and full of references to Garibaldi. The name relates to the 'Thousand' who set out with the General to unify Italy in the 19th Century (Bergamo claims that they came from there). There are restaurants 15 minutes walk away. The breakfast - included - is good and very varied, and the staff are friendly. And it has its own free car-park: I've used it in the past. 24-hour reception has been a life-saver for me: one time my flight was badly delayed and I had to walk from the airport (it took me an hour), arriving at 2 am. I got in with no trouble, and collapsed in my bath (yes, the rooms have small baths!) For the price, it's astonishing value.

Great hotel. I really enjoyed my stay at Citta Dei. Breakfast was a plus, with many options. Staff was very kind and helpful. The mattress was very comfortable. It is a little bit far from Citta Alta, but it was close to bus 1, that takes you there. I really enjoyed the breakfast!!!

This is a difficult question as it wasn't excellent but its bad either id say it was pleasant staffing mainly helpful one a little bit lacking in patience as I've some difficulties im remember information...i would stay herr again but the price is top end not really justified but i accept cost of living is at tough times for everyone...i would of preferred the Christmas tree and decorations been put away but they were still up on 10th January. Coffees could be better and my room didn't have tea or coffee facilities that for me is important although you can get from reception but it could be included in room price its a basic need especially after arrival of a long tiring day i would like that included but i was greatful for breakfast being included thats great

The Hotel was very clean and staff was very helpful and kind. The room was quiet. Breakfast is perfect. It was near to city center by walking 10 min. You can reach the Airport with the bus number 1. You can leave your luggage after check out.
