"The hotel is brand new, and in an excellent location. The staff were very helpful and friendly! Unfortunately, we felt like the experience we received was not as advertised. Upon arrival, the xpress check in machines are not working. Calling the number on the screen just gets you an automated voice walking you through the process that is clearly not working. A staff member can be summoned by selecting the "time sensitive issue" option. We were led to our room, which had not been cleaned. ...

"Very dated grand hotel in an excellent location.. it desperately needs a makeover, but saying that it’s a great value. With free breakfast and dinner with good food and great service that’s what you’re getting. The staff couldn’t be friendlier. Just expect old school styling. Very old school. I would recommend taking one of the few rooms facing the harbor, even though they are smaller they have windows facing the water. "An excellent location just 1.6 miles from downtown, making for a very pleasant walk. There's a grocery store conveniently located only a quarter-mile away, and the host was great enough to accommodate an early check-in. The complimentary breakfast offered a fantastic variety of options. I would gladly stay here again on my next trip to Bergen!"

"Zimmer sollte zu spät gereinigt werden (nach 17 Uhr, da waren wir schon wieder auf dem Zimmer und benötigten es). Nur ein kleines Dachfenster, Zimmer war viel zu dunkel und das bei der Superior Class. Das Bett viel zu niedrig. Insgesamt paßt Preis-Leistung nicht."
