"To better reflect the University of Alabama experience and justify the price point, the hotel could benefit from updated guest room renovations, improved housekeeping standards, and more attention to detail with maintenance issues such as broken curtains and worn furniture. Adding more Alabama-themed decor, photos, and school spirit throughout the hallways and rooms would also create a more memorable and authentic university hotel atmosphere. During renovations, management should work harder to minimize muddy or unappealing entrance areas and consider temporarily lowering rates to better match the guest experience. Small touches like cleaner rooms, refreshed furnishings, and stronger campus branding would go a long way in making prospective students and families feel excited and welcomed during their visit. As the parent of a prospective University of Alabama student, first impressions matter. Families visiting campus are not just booking a hotel stay, they are forming opinions about the overall university experience. With some updates and greater attention to detail, this hotel could become a much stronger reflection of the university it represents. Save your money and go elsewhere."

"We stopped here on a road trip from Oklahoma to Florida - clean, safe, convenient - especially traveling alone with my two children. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave! No freezer, but there's an ice machine, and the front desk put my coolers in their freezer - nice! The breakfast was good: hard-boiled eggs, waffles, yogurt, bagels. We booked again for the return trip!"

"Our stay was great. Room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. It was located close to shopping and restaurants. Check in/out was fast and easy. Breakfast was better than most. I highly recommend this hotel."

"It's in a convenient location, but that was really the only perk. The photos misrepresent the state of the room(s), which have seen better days. For example, the luggage rack was pitted with rust stains. The sheet cover for the pull-out sofa bed was stained. In general, the room felt like it needed a good scrub down. I was significantly disappointed, seeing as the cost per night is grossly inflated during graduation weekend. I feel the price I paid was not worth the state of the room, especially for just a one-night stay. I wouldn't return."
