"Loved the scenery of the river - rooms were clean - staff was very friendly
My companion ordered a hamburger one evening - they did not have any condiments - they brought him a dry bun
The mattress was hard - we kept running into the corners of the boxed frame with our feet
We thought the place is starting to show it's age -needs updating"
"Not kid friendly, nice hotel clean jacuzzi pool sauna all in working order no issues. No kids in pool after 8pm no kids in outdoor jacuzzi, lifeguard will yell at your kids nonstop no fun in the pool no balls no toys not meant for fun. definitely don’t bring your kids because it is not meant for family. Hard to book it again even though resort is really nice."
"This historic hotel is in an epic location above the Columbia Gorge with amazing views! The staff was absolutely amazing. Michelle at the front desk was the sweetest ever! Rooms are beautifully decorated as is the parlor and main dining room. Just a wonderful experience for the price!"
"I stayed at the Cascade Motel during a road trip through the Columbia River Gorge and found it to be a practical and comfortable base for exploring the area.
The motel consists of standalone cabins rather than a traditional motel block, which makes for a quieter stay. My room was very spacious, with two large beds, plenty of room for luggage and camera gear, effective air-conditioning, and good sound insulation. While the furnishings are dated, everything was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was simple but functional, with plenty of towels provided.
Parking is directly outside each cabin, making loading and unloading easy. The property does not offer breakfast or have an on-site restaurant, but Cascade Locks town centre is only a short drive away.
Overall, this is not a luxury property, but it delivers exactly what many road trippers need: large rooms, easy parking, a quiet environment, and a convenient location for exploring the Columbia River Gorge. I would happily stay here again."
"The bed was VERY comfy, i read that there was soundproofing but the room was not totally soundproof. Even though it was very low i could still hear people in the next room talking and Mr Stomp stomp Mcstomp upstairs. The staff was very kind but did input my email incorrectly which having said that, for some reason happens often with others. It would have been nice if kids weren’t allowed to jump in the outdoor hot tub and perhaps limited to the one inside with the pool. It was a nice property but is $$$$"
