The Alloy King of Prussia - a DoubleTree by Hilton
2/10 Terrible
"I formally express my extreme dissatisfaction regarding my recent stay at The Alloy King of Prussia - a DoubleTree by Hilton, which was the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. Despite paying a premium rate of over $700, the conditions were unacceptable and I am requesting a significant discount or partial refund.
My experience involved being relocated to three different rooms, each presenting severe issues:
- Room 1: Upon arrival, the carpet was already soaked due to a leaking air conditioning unit, which created a pervasive mildew odor throughout the room.
- Room 2: This room was excessively dusty, triggering severe allergic reactions for my entire party. By morning, a visible layer of dust had settled on our mobile devices.
- Room 3: We discovered leftover food and peanut shells on the floor from a previous guest, posing a serious safety risk for those with allergies. Additionally, the shower leaked so severely that water flooded the hallway and soaked my son’s clothing.
Furthermore, the service response was inadequate. It took 20 minutes for a mop to arrive, and the maintenance staff appeared visibly frustrated during the interaction. While the gym facilities were decent, they were noticeably dirty.
The only positive aspect of this stay was the front desk associate, C.J., who was professional and apologetic throughout these constant disruptions. However, given that my stay consisted of sleepless nights and the repeated labor of moving heavy luggage between f"
"Check in was a bit long because their system wouldn't let them complete the deposit processing but that's not the hotel's fault. Staff at the desk was great. Friendly and helpful. Lovely property with lots of outdoor space and parking. The heated outdoor pool had technically opened a day before we checked in but it was freezing and pretty dirty. My 5 year old daughter was super bummed that she couldn't swim like we promised. There were construction materials around the pool deck, as well as around some of the side entrances. The location was in a pretty quiet area which I liked. We booked a 2 bedroom suite. Both had king beds, tv's, and their own ensuite which were spacious. Living room and kitchen were nice, modern, and well stocked. Air conditioning worked quite well and it was nice having windows that open. We couldn't get the living room tv to work very well but there were 2 others so fine. The laminate floors didn't seem to have been mopped in a long while. You couldn't see any dirt but your socks were pretty grungy after walking around for a while in the room. Not a huge deal but it was a bit disappointing. The only major complaint was the noise. Next door rooms were quiet but the room above is had people running around and slamming doors and drawers until about midnight. You could hear everything. Every step. Every time they did anything. This continued both nights we stayed. Breakfast was really great. Lots of hot and cold options. Clean and modern."
