Hotel is very old. Rooms must be refurbished. Cleanliness is ok in general the hotel is dirty and the neighborhood as well. It's China Town and it smells not nice.

Our only issue was that the air conditioning barely worked, if it did at all. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed the evening we spent huddled up in the lounge.

We always stay to go to the opera at the Hippodrome! With parking it is most convenient as we live in Wales! Thanks for putting us up! The only glitch was the second lift was crook! Still it didn’tnoticeably hold us up! It’s tremendous we can get so close to central Birmingham!

Myself and my colleague stayed over for a training event we had in birmingham, this was a fab hotel rooms basic but clean which is all you need, fabulous places for transport links and shops (which we were able to go have a wee look at), breakfast was beautiful with plenty opitions and the reception/bar area was lovely and welcoming.

You get what you pay for. Our initial thought when opening the room was that was very small with a tiny bathroom. We got used to it after 2x days. Despite being a small bathroom, the show head was excellent. The place felt safe too. Im not sure if there was adequate heating and cooling however we did survive. I don't think we'll stay there again. Unfortunately I don't think I can recommend it either unless you're absolutely budget conscious.

Great check-in and was able to get in the room after a tiring journey before 3pm. Clean room and always comfortable. Area around the hotel is vibrant and extremely noisy at night. Hotel is not soundproof.

Perfect for city break

Very good location in center of China Town. Less than 5 minutes walk to the train station and shopping centre. Room nice. Bathroom small but excellent. Great shower and towels.

Hotel is fine for a cheap stay central to the station outside and around the hotel is extremely dirty and not well kept. Also wouldn’t bother with the breakfast limited choice and my son was severely sick after it.
