"I stayed the night to attend a local wedding venue. Gemma spoke with me on the phone and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. When I arrived Jason at the check in desk was so kind and moved heaven and earth to get me a room that was ready so that I could change and leave for the wedding. Both staff members were so kind and welcoming and professional. I couldn’t be happier with my experience."

"Beautiful old main building and well constructed new wing that blended seamlessly with the old main Hall. However, due to the layout and lack of lifts it meant a really long walk from our room to the main reception area. The Hotel seemed to have a lack of staff - the very nice mature lady at reception, was multitasking and ended up carrying our bags up to the room. This staff shortage manifested itself later when we went to have dinner - to be told that the gas was off in the kitchen and...

"I have to say I waa really surprised at how nice this place was. The only issue for me (being a bigger bloke) was i couldn't fit in the shower as it only has a s.mall opening but I was able to get around ."

"Rio was very old. Moved out of first room. Loud generator outside window and wood round lock was broken as if door had been forced. Staff helpful and changed room but had a single bed and mattress was about a foot higher on one side than the other. Not a good night sleep. Was surprised how old rooms were."

"Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. "

"Excellent choice for where to stay for the Nottingham Tennis and to pick up my child from Nottingham University halls. Everything worked a treat. Child was less than 5 minutes away so I could say hi, drop off a takeaway and load up the car for end of year departure. In between all this, I enjoyed a beautiful walk to the tennis, uber'd back for under £6, enjoyed cocktails and a delicious posh meal at the hotel restaurant, who also do a useful buffet breakfast in the mornings. "Apart from a few items on the carpet which suggested incomplete vacuuming and some difficulty filling the kettle (awkward with the tap system) no complaints at all. Large room, wide single beds, plenty of storage and well stocked bathroom, complete with a bath which I hadn't expected. Check in was straightforward and hotel grounds were very well maintained and attractive."
