"The staff were very welcoming even when we arrived very late (23:50) somewhat wet and bedraggled after a horrendous drive in the rain up the M6. We were met with an understanding smile and given clear directions to our room. The room was clean and warm with a comfortable bed. The room overall was a little tired. "I recently stayed in a Superior Double Room and was disappointed by the overall experience, particularly considering the premium rate charged. The room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the hotel benefits from a large free car park, which was appreciated. However, several aspects fell well below what I would expect from a superior room. The room felt somewhat dated, and attention to detail was lacking. Only one teaspoon was provided despite there being two mugs in the room....

"Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing and did not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. The first room had a problem with the toilet flush, but the staff reacted quickly and gave us another room. However, the overall condition of the hotel was poor. The furniture looked very worn out, the carpet had many stains, and the table in the room felt sticky. In the morning, we noticed water leaking under the sink every time we washed our hands. The shower also made strange noises when...

"We stayed during the hottest May on record, and the AC system in the rooms was not operational as we were informed by the front desk, that this functionality is only switched on for summer. As the room windows only open a few inches, it made for a hot and uncomfortable few nights stay."

"Room was clean and functional. Bathroom was great. Good selection for breakfast. Really liked the fresh coffee idea, but feel like there should be more coffee stations. When I wake up I like to have a coffee and didn’t feel like I could wander down through reception and the breakfast area to get one in my pyjamas. Maybe just having additional stations by the lifts on each floor would be great."
