"Couldn't have had a friendlier welcome with the nicest, most helpful staff. We had a lovely dinner in the bar and a good night's sleep before heading down to breakfast. My son was particularly impressed by the waffle maker! Great location for city centre and attractions."
"This hotel was good value for money. It requires some upgrading as chairs are the worse for wear.
Food at the hotel was good and the buffet breakfast again good value.
Should install electric charging points as several guests were driving electric vehicles."
"Decent location next to the quay, room was spacious and clean. Hotel seems well run, staff were very helpful and pleasant.
We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights and Saturday night was very noisy outside, lots of what sounded like road racing and drunken people! Sunday was quiet. Not a complaint about the hotel, it's a city centre hotel and Dundee is lively on a Saturday night, so to be expected.
Restaurant nice, food reasonably good. Parking onsite is great and one of the reasons we picked this hotel. Overall a great choice for Dundee."
"Lovely hotel with nice pool / spa facilities . Breakfast was great and rooms very comfortable. We had a lovely meal in the hotel . The Cullen skink was really nice . Reception staff were a little unfriendly on arrival but we wouldn’t let this put us off returning . Great value for money !"
The Landmark Hotel & SPA Leisure Club Dundee By Sunday
8/10 Good
"Beautiful gardens, the room was not in the big historic home but an added on building to the side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious in the restaurant. The only problem was the room was very hot and it made sleep difficult. This was with a fan on and the window open as far as it could be opened. I would return but only in cold months"
"Check-in was slow as usual. There's a fast-lane for those of us who had checked in online, but it was getting used as a general lane. The person checking us in needed to know who we'd booked with (why? It was all paid, and I'd already checked in online). Next he asked my name, but then said 'No, no, no.' I was sure I was right, but he was sure I was wrong. But then he found me on his computer screen and it turned out that I did know my name.
Staff were exceedingly pleasant and helpful, especially the dining area staff. Top marks. Queues at busy times (buffet style) but the food was fine, though not spectacular. For the cost of the meals, one could have a lovely table service meal in a restaurant but if all-you-can-eat appeals, it's not bad.
There's plenty of car parking spaces, but lots of white vans parked - and long-wheel base vans take up at least two spaces, and sometimes more if they are wide. Dedicated parking spaces for vans would be useful.
At night, it can be hard to find a nearby parking spot but the coach car park always has spaces.
Overall, cheap and very good value for money and I do recommend this venue without hesitation."
