"Properties located in a rainforest. There is a really beautiful property. Restaurant is great the food is amazing. Stop is really really accommodating and nice. However it is expensive at about $1200-$1300 a night, when you include the food and stay.. The only problem is that it does not have air conditioning. With the hot and humid weather not having air conditioning creates a big problem. When guests are not getting good sleep, they are not able to enjoy their day and that was a problem for us too. Her daughter was under slept the whole week, and she was cranky in the evenings. I would think that a property of this price range should offer air conditioning to the guests. I would not be returning to this property because of that issue."

"Very easy to park and secure. The hotel was convenient to town. The staff was informative, helpful, and nice. Air conditioning, a pool, free kayaks, bikes. They held our bags as we did a tour. Very happy with our experience. "

"What a special place! We arrived in the surf, to be greeted by Dylan and his staff who grabbed our bags and suitcases and brought them up to the room. We then had pineapple smoothies and talked to Dylan, who I produced us to the routines there. You tell them when you want to eat. Eat! It's more like floating in gourmet heaven. The food is out of this world!!! The room was many steps up a rocky staircase, do prepare for earning your heavenly food. The view from the room takes your breath away. There is no air conditioning, but the screened "ceiling" openings (really, up on the wall) let in enough air to cool you down sufficiently. "Alas, this property has seen better days. It’s not horrible, or even unbearable, but bare bones. AC was adequate for sleep but not for siesta. Beach is not inviting. Nearby bars were ok for food. We left a day early. "

"The rooms were clean. A bit of a musty smell, which gave me concern as I am allergic to mold. Managed to sleep with door open (unit 5, very private) and no problem. Bathroom just steps away. My only trouble was not with the Property, but with the entire family that took over the place. They were not at the property the evening before. The next morning I went to make coffee. Every pot, pan, and kettle was taken over by this group. Inconsiderate of the fact that this was a “hostel-type” property. No way to move around. I was looked at like I was an Intruder! I was very uncomfortable. The other travelers were most gracious and kind. As was the manager. I would stay again."

"We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All of the lodge buildings are very sympathetically designed, and blend well with the surroundings. Everywhere is very clean and maintained to a high standard. We loved sitting on the bar stools and watching the monkeys and morpho butterflies. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful, and assisted us with booking excursions. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented, as were the cocktails! We loved the quirky bed in our cabin, and enjoyed sitting on the veranda and watching all the wildlife in the creek below - juvenile caimans, turtles, lizards, dragonflies, and my absolute favourites - hummingbirds. Listening to the orchestra of sounds at night was at night was fantastic! We did a night walk and we're amazed at our guide's knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to spot creatures that we would never have seen without him! The trails within the grounds are easy to follow, and there is so much to see - including the resident sloth - ask the staff and they will point him out to you. I was thrilled to see so many hummingbirds. Danta Corcovado Lodge is a great place, and all staff work hard to ensure that guests are well looked after and enjoy their stay."
