Lake Bled is just a short drive from Ljubljana airport. We went skiing at Vogel ski centre which was perfect for a short break. Loads to do in the area. Unfortunately Vintgar Gorge was closed at the weekend when we were there which was disappointing.
Beautiful town, picturesque and clean. Very friendly town folk and most people speak english. All amenities are easily available.
Lake Bled is a magical place, it’s very easy to walk around the lake, plenty of places to eat

We went in late September. Busy enough but not excessively so . Can imagine it gets packed in high season
