The Capitol Hotel

"I checked into the hotel and unfortunately fell in the room, had a knot on the back of my head and broke 2 toes. My cousin contacted the Front Desk and an ambulance came and took me to the hospital. I never had a chance to unpack and stayed in the hospital for 6 days. When I contacted the hotel on day two to see if I cancel the reservation I was told that since I checked in that my request was denied. I understand that the hotel has procedures but I never had a chance to enjoy it. The Clerk showed no empathy and never escalated my request based on my circumstance. I was just very disapointed."

"COLD AC - Good hot water-nothing was bitting me while in bed- had a ok good night sleep... had to buy bleach just felt away tub dirty- the bad lots of dogs in room on beds- homeless people - left early fight woke me up scared me more like a extended stay rather then hotel. Lots of restaurants u can walk to lots....thats a Good thing!"

"I booked a double room. Picture shows two beds for this room. Since I was bringing my son on this trip I needed the second bed. I arrive and they tell me I booked the wrong room as this room only has a double bed. Which is equivalent to a queen bed. Last time I checked beds were King , Queen , Full and Twin size. They call it a double bed but to me it sounds like they are purposely using language to trick the customer. Pic shows two beds it should have two beds. I booked in March and it was for June my registration shows 2 adults - 1 child. If I did book wrong room why wasnt I called or emailed at anytime to make the change. Instead I arrived and was told they had no rooms with two beds and was unchanged an additional $50 for a cot for my son that said it was very uncomfortable to sleep in. Luckily I was only there one night. Last time ill stay there. I found front desk lady to be rude. Morning I wake up to a charge of $135 for the cot and then I confront front desk lady again and told her she said you won't get charged that. I made sure to ask for a printed receipt before I left. Something not right here."

"We left a party early so we could watch the NBA Finals ... The TV only picked up 2 channels ... no local channels, so we couldn't watch the game. Very, very disappointed ... I've never seen a hotel in a large city which did not offer any local channels, and only 2 channels, each of which I would never watch ... very disappointed ..."

"Room was clean, bed was comfortable, towels & wash clothes were provided. No soap but I always bring my own. They have cookware to purchase if you plan on having an extended stay. Paper towels, silverware or plates aren’t provided. Overall for my quick visit it was great !"

"Staff to a person were friendly and personable and professional. Room was clean with all systems functioning well. Location is in the Historic District in attractive neighborhood. It is at the intersection of two quite busy roads but road noise was not an issue. Standard hotel free breakfast is served in a very pleasant room. Afternoon wine and cheese in the lobby is a nice touch. All in all, a pleasant stay."

"The place was very clean and more than expected as it came with a kitchenette. They are in the middle of renovations, so some of the areas were under construction, which we understood. Also the streaming on the tv kept cutting out. Overall we were pleased, bed super comfortable, though I ordered king and got a queen size."

"Absolutely the worst night ever. I stayed to get rest the night before an important meeting and not at all good. First Place once u get off elevator is filthy, wallpaper peeling and Ac actually had moldy dust. Hair eminent in shower !! Sound proof rooms !!! No way. Young women room in next room was conducting business all night and across way screaming young child. No lock on slider door. I was moved at 1 am to a nicer room due to noise of women conducting business to 3rd floor was perfect…. Didn’t seem like same hotel…. But breakfast starts at 6 am went down at 6:40 was gone fresh fruit was a few oranges and NO Coffee!! Have video heading over to corporate!!! Day manager women in white suit had NO idea what happened during night and said she would need to look at rooms even though I showed video proof. Overall worst experience and low low low quality hotel. Not worthy if 1 star should be evaluated by board of health…"
