Very nice value hotel in a good location

Nice little hotel. The front staff were friendly and helpful. The room is small but functional and comfortable. It’s a good location if you want to enjoy central Bochum. We would stay again if we were ever to return to this area.

Really good place to range out to Dortmund from, much cheaper than staying in Dortmund on a matchday. Very comfortable bed, pretty quiet, and Bochum town centre only ten mins walk, station 15mins.

Fantastic rooms and location

Really comfortable, modern and clean rooms with great space. Location is very close to the centre of Bochum and 10 minute walk from the train station. Staff at reception were very helpful and welcoming also which added to the fantastic stay, would definitely recommend.

Great value

Really great place with excellent location. Very friendly staff. Only negative was the pillows. Much too big for sleeping and also very lumpy. Can highly recommend the place. Great value.

Value for money - would visit again

Nice apartment, small for 3 people. We were at the first floor which is not ideal cuz the parking lot it literally outside our window, but overall the area felt safe and the building itself is new and modern, I'd go again. Location - good, 15min walk to the main train station and like 10 min walk to the city center, 5 min walk to the UBAHN station Value for money for sure,

Nice days in Bochum.

Nice and new facilities. Kitchen equipped for self-catering. Only one obstacle: We were informed that it would be possible to park or car on the premises, but I was shown (on a map) a parking area (gravel) ten minutes walk away. After a serious complaint, I was able to get a space behind the Nena Apartments. One morning at 6.10 am the fire alarm sounded and woke up everybody. All the residents were sent outside the building - apparently because of smoke in one apartment!

Positive: - close to city center and christmas market - spacious and clean - easy checkin - good valueformoney Negative: - noisy if the neighbors are loud - just aircondition for heating - limited number of parking slots, cannot reserve - the worst was the second bed for the child. It was not a proper bed, but the ones for visitors - not really comfortable

So, let me start out with the positives. The room is excellent, big, and spacious, even in their basic apartment. It offers one of the best and most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept as a travel blogger. Everything about this place is perfect except the staff. The staff are extremely rude and belligerent. I had a bad first impression of the staff from the beginning. Let me explain. The reception desk called me at about 10 PM on the day that I was arriving, and the guy starts out speaking German. I told him my apologies. I did not speak German. Do you speak English or Dutch? So he switches to English and makes it apparent to me that English is not a problem for him. He then told me that he will send me an email with the instructions on how to check in after hours. What happened next was appalling. He sends me an email in German and proceeds to call me back to confirm that I received the email in German while speaking nearly flawless English. Then he proceeds to tell me that he does not have time for English. So I responded in Dutch, stating in Dutch that I also don’t have time for English because I’m here to take a high-level Dutch course at the University. To me, this was a little bit like sticking your middle finger up at me without actually doing it. It’s basically saying, I don’t want to speak English with you. I can’t speak English, but I don’t want to. Super rude.

Terrible hotel

The hotel was absolutely terrible. There were no amenities at all, the rooms were never cleaned, and there was no breakfast provided. Everything about this place was disappointing and unacceptable. I would never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Hotel complete disaster

This hotel was a complete disaster. The facilities were nonexistent, the room was dirty and never cleaned, and there was no breakfast at all. Nothing matched the description, and the overall experience was awful. I would strongly advise avoiding this place. I will certainly never return.

Overall very good

The room, the hotel, and the workers were all wonderful. Overall, it was a very good experience. The only problem we had is nobody answered the phone when I tried to call ahead of time to ask about parking and check in. I tried several times in the days leading up to our stay. The email that they sent only gave —-@—- as the contact email, so that was of no use.

We had booked the property for a full week. When we showed up, we went to our room and found it to be not at all what was advertised. It was basically a dorm room with a concrete floor, not the apartment that was advertised. We were not able to get parking for the full week. We decided to find alternative accommodation, despite the fact that the reservation was non-refundable, as we could not imagine staying there.
