"Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, had a funny smell when we arrived, wasn't quite so noticeable when you'd been in there a while but we could smell it each time we went in again, couldn't find the source of it though. Breakfast was lovely, great selection, food was very nice, husband e joyed the full English cooked breakfast. Would have been nice to have a little more selection for cooked meals in the evening."
"The hotel is well positioned for a visit to Norwich. Room and inside of hotel including spa are kept clean but are in need of a refurbishment. Hotel food is nice, buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing as not all food was available. Out side of hotel needs some attention and also a bin or two as litter is a problem in plant beds etc.
Staff were very helpful but not enough of them."
"Room was clean but overall the hotel is in need of a full refurbishment. It looks worn and dated. Yes it is a period property but still could do with a spruce up. Lunch time bar staff (one only) did not have a clue; he said that he was just doing a favour and didn’t usually do bar work. Games room was basic with pool table (no chalk) and a dart board.. We booked a table for an evening meal but service was so diabolical, we went elsewhere. It took more than five minutes to be seen to our table, then having been told that someone would bring menus and take our drinks order, we waited another 20 minutes then just menus but no drinks order; and no, the place was not busy. The menu was totally different from the one left in the room, no steaks, grills etc. The evening bar was left unattended for long periods and then locals seemed to be favoured over guests."
"Stayed for one night with my 9yr old and it was lovely.
Great pool, breakfast included which was brilliant, lots to chose from.
My lad loved his welcome pack in our room which gave him a £5 voucher to spend on ice cream"
"What can we say other than absolutely fantastic big thank you to Mandy and her daughter and the rest of Mandy‘s team if we find ourselves out that way again, we would not hesitate but to book a room at this establishment"
"Impeccable accommodation which was good value for money. Swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, whirl pool, pool room, bar & restaurant all on site and included in price.
Only downside on the hottest week of the year was no air conditioning and no fan available. Some fans but obviously not one per unit and none were available.
Bar shuts at 10pm, but not a problem for us.
Food was good and some entertainment on certain nights.
Staff are helpful and courteous.
Would definitely recommend."
