"The room was spacious and clean. Night time is quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was adequate. I prefer more fruits and vegetables. Besides a visit to the Château d’Azay-le-Rideau, you can take day trips to other castles. We rented e-bikes in Amboise and rode to Château de Blois and back. Drive t, about 1 hour each way."
"We have stayed here before and we have always really enjoyed it. That is why we keep coming back. We liked the warm welcome we received, the very clean rooms, the lovely breakfast with the amazing jam and helpful staff. In fact we will be returning again on our way home in 2 weeks."
"No on site parking but free in street in front of Hotel. Attic bedroom found pokey. Toilet bowl needed a good clean with Harpic or similar toilet cleaner. Builders on site obviously restoring this very historic hotel. Breakfast room was a makeshift affair. A buffet with no clear one way system a bit chaotic with guests bumping into each other. Food was adequate but basic. Was much better when we stayed in 2013. The breakfast was then in the conservatory which ad recently being demolished.

"This is a simple, roadside lodge style hotel. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and spoke some English that supplemented our very basic French. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast (pay extra) was simple but adequate and included a toaster with bread, condiments, scrambled eggs and bacon as well as the usual pastries and yogurts.
There is no restaurant at the hotel but there are a number of places to eat within walking distance but don't expect any fine dining. We ate at the Asian 'all you can eat' buffet which was excellent and just 500m away.
It was easy to find, just off the main motorway and accepted our dogs for a very small supplement. We will use this hotel again if we are passing. "
