"Great stay but for a 5* hotel could pay more attention to the rooms. Dead insect on bedside table when we came in the room and the bathroom tv was not working. They did come and fix it but by the time we found out it was too late to use as we had things booked. So would advise to make sure rooms are checked over before guests arrived. Staff were lovely and attentive. Food and drinks were great. Spa was lovely."

"Really lovely quaint hotel! Staff are amazing and go above and beyond!! Thank you to Laura, Paul and the wonderful chef!! Please note, this is a very old building and doesn’t have all the mod cons of a modern property. Bed linen and towels were lovely and clean. There is tea and coffee in the room and you may request additional items if you need them. Beer garden is amazing with lovely views. There are TVs to watch sport. Not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are stairs up to the rooms. My sister and I had a wonderful 2 night stay. 😀"

"Front door lock needs some attention on outside room (233) Radiator/heater couldn't switch off. Knob was balanced on the on/off valve so was a known issue. No offer of another room The breakfast 'display' is dismal! The continental section is not even worth the effort. No pride. No music in the breakfast room 4/10. Bit of a joke"
