"The location of the hotel is perfect! Opposite the train station so easy to travel & also easy to get to and from the airport. Also just a short 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Bologna. The staff on reception were polite, professional and helpful. But the bar staff were exceptional! Great customer service, every drink was served with a little snack which was a fab touch! The room however was extremely basic and could do with a little TLC. It was enough for us for a few short days stay but the bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and the pillows were quite lumpy. The bathroom could do with a bit of a refurb. The hallways / lift areas could also do with a new carpet and it is quite annoying having to use an ironing room. I know this could be a local law or policy but even if there was an alternative like a steamer in the rooms then that would be better! Breakfast was ok, we paid for the breakfast for every morning when we booked but honestly we only used it twice. The food was lovely and coffee machines were very convenient! There was also a fresh juicing machine which was a nice addition to have! We had a nice stay overall but spent most of the time out exploring. The hotel did the job but overall would rate maybe a 3 star due to the rooms and breakfast being pretty basic! Staff and location were great though!"
