Accommodation in architecturally interesting building separate from reception and breakfast room. Good breakfast. No bar, or mini-bar available. A bed-and-breakfast more than a hotel. Comfortable room, but bathroom ready for maintenance over the winter. Excellent restaurant nearby.

Great hotel, great staff and own winery near.

Great stay. Recommend this hotel if you are traveling to the left bank. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Great breakfast in a beautiful room. They also own the winery down the road 3 meters and can arrange a 35 euro tour and wine tasting. Pierre was our guide and gave us a fantastic tour.

A nice hotel in Margaux

We had a great time at Hotel de Margaux. We stayed in the Suite Vénitienne which is a large apartment in a little chateau close to the hotel with a view on a nice pool and a vineyard. The host was very nice. Too bad that their restaurant was closed and we had to go outside for dinner.

Perfect stay

We loved staying in the Chateaux across from the hotel. It was so quiet, unspoilt and pleasant. Anna and the other staff were so kind and helpful. Would definately stay again.

Not a hotel…..

Not realy a hotel, just some rooms in a house. No staff available and no reception. Breakfast was for free and based on this ok but otherwise very poor and unproffessional. Our room was nice but smell of poor ventilation and humidity, like a cellar below ground level. We can recommend this if the price was half and the expectations as well.

Not staffed at all, keys just left in our room doors to an open and vacant property. We requested x2 double rooms and got a twin and double. One double room only had a single bath towel not two and the worst thing was.. bed bugs! I was bitten everywhere. Worst thing is there was absolutely no one around to help or complain to. A beautiful hotel & setting but the service was the worst I’ve experienced with the added bites- avoid!

Das Hotel liegt gut in Margaux und ist mit dem Auto sehr gut erreichbar. Das Bett war leider durchgelegen. Das Personal war nicht sehr freundlich - beim Check-out hat mich die Dame weder begrüsst noch nach meinem Aufenthalt gefragt und mir direkt gesagt, was ich noch zahlen muss. Alles in Allem ist es gut für Winzerbesichtigungen.

Une nuit de passage, bel hôtel, bien insonorisé, calme et agréable. Joli décor, entouré de vignobles, proche des plus beaux châteaux du Médoc dont le château Margaux. Deux petits détails à améliorer : Absence de volets ou rideaux occultants (donc réveillé par le jour un peu trop tôt). Absence de bols pour le petit déjeuner, c'est dommage ! Par contre un petit déjeuner très copieux. On recommande quand même et on reviendra sans doute.

Exceptionnel

Exceptionnel, je fréquente une dizaine de fois par an un hôtel touristique de passage, celui-là est au top de ma liste (je reviendrai probablement) : calme (aucun bruit), vue exceptionnelle sur les vignobles (de ma chambre 103 et de l'hôtel), Margaux est un petit village charmant, petit déjeuner à la fois anglais et continental, etc.

Très très déçu...

Je m'attendais à un accueil 3 étoiles, eh bien il n'y en a aucun après 7h du soir d'après d'autres clients. Je suis arrivé tard après plusieurs heures de route. Aucune personne à l'accueil, donc impossible de payer la taxe de séjour en arrivant ni de trouver ma chambre. J'appelle le numéro de l'hôtel, je tombe direct sur un 06, qui est en boîte vocale automatique. Après avoir mené l'enquête auprès d'autres clients, je comprends que ma chambre est dans un autre bâtiment à 400 mètres à pied, c'est un camping en fait ?? Les instructions des autres clients n'étant pas claires, j'ai dû attendre le rappel du 06 pour qu'une gentille dame m'explique comment le système de chambre fonctionne et où se situe exactement l'annexe. Arrivé à l'hôtel vers 21h, arrivé dans ma chambre à 22h30... Je m'attendais à une expérience efficace et belle digne d'un hôtel château 3 étoiles et je me retrouve dans l'annexe dudit château sans aucune aide ou indication sur place. Absolument inacceptable ! Rares points positifs : La chambre Chinoise est absolument magnifique. La dame au bout du 06 qui m'a aidé alors qu'il était 22h passées, encore merci. Les directeurs de cet hôtel doivent comprendre que ce n'est pas avec ce système qu'on fidélise les clients. Dans un hôtel normal, il y a une réception ouverte jusqu'à tard le soir, voir 24/24, pour accueillir tous les clients et pouvoir payer une fois arrivés. J'y étais début juin et je n'y retournerais plus.
