Das Frühstück ist prima- nur der Kaffee sehr schwach! Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen und sollten, inkl. Betten und Bettkissen erneuert werden. Der Weg zum Strand und in die City ist kurz. Das Hotel wird durch das sehr freundliche Personal getragen. Das Potential des Hotels ist nicht ausgeschöpft!

Das Upstalsboom Seehotel hat eine hervorragende Lage - ob zum Strand, in den Ortskern mit seinen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder als Ausgangspunkt für ausgedehnte Fahrradtouren. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen hilfsbereit und auch zu diesen herausfordernden Corona-Zeiten stets freundlich und mit guten Ideen zur Umsetzung der Auflagen. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, wünschenswert wäre vielleicht noch eine Kaffeemaschine oder ein Wasserkocher darin. Für bewegungseingeschränkte Menschen gibt es barrierefreie Zimmer, sowie einen Aufzug. Das Frühstück, das derzeit coronabedingt nicht als Buffet angeboten werden kann, war reichhaltig und lecker.

Die Lage des Hotels ist natürlich optimal...2 min zum Strand, 2min zum Bahnhof, und auch das Zimmer (Turmzimmer) war sehr ruhig gelegen, trotz "Touristenverkehrs" auf der Straße. Das Personal ist freundlich...besonders auch die Reinigungskräfte, sehr lieb! Das Frühstück war lecker und ausreichend im Angebot! Die Hotelausstattung ist in Ordnung... der Einrichtungsstil passt zum Hotel, also schon etwas älter;o)...einige Möbel/Gardinen/Teppiche müssten trotzdem vielleicht mal überholt/gereinigt werden...auch im Treppenhaus sieht man schon die ein oder andere Stelle, die mal ausgebessert werden müsste. Es wurde uns auf jeden Fall auch das Gefühl gegeben, dass man jederzeit zur Rezeption kommen kann, wenn man irgendeinen Wunsch hätte...insgesamt war es ein angenehmer Aufenthalt!

Trotz Reservierungsbestätigung kein Zimmer bekomme

Wir sind mit einer Reservierungsbestätigung angereist. Das Hotel hat uns abgewiesen mit der Begründung, es seien bereits alle Zimmer belegt und die getätigte Reservierung mit Bestätigung sei ein Systemfehler. Das Hotel hat uns nicht weitergeholfen und weggeschickt. Wir saßen auf der Insel fest, es fuhr keine Fähre mehr zurück. Es war in der Hochsaison kein anderes Zimmer auf der gesamten Insel mehr zu bekommen. Wir haben stundenlang gesucht, bis uns ein anderes Hotel gewährte, in der Lobby auf Bänken zu übernachten, damit wir nicht draußen nächtigen mussten. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht, dass uns das Seehotel Upstalboom trotz Ihres! Fehlers so im Stich gelassen hat. Wir fühlten uns sehr verloren. Nicht mal auf die schriftliche Reservierungsbestätigung konnten wir uns verlassen.

Erholung in angenehmer Atmosphäre

Bei schönem Wetter sind unsere Erwartungen übertroffen worden.Die besuchten Lokalitäten auf Borkum waren in Qualität Preis und Leistung sehr empfehlenswert .Die angenehme Atmosphäre im Hotel hat zu einem sehr gelungenem Kurzurlaub beigetragen.

Alles in allem Okay!

Telefonischer Kontakt vorab sehr nett. Ankunft und einchecken ging zügig und wurde vollumfassend durchgeführt. Zimmer sowie das Hotel sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es gab eine vernünftige Dusche und ich hab gut geschlafen, das ist mir am wichtigsten. Würde das Hotel auch weiter empfehlen, gerad auch für Geschäftsreisende, da Preis- Leistungsverhätnis für die Hauptsaison in Ordnung waren.
