"The hotel was very nice, and the room was big and comfortable. Check in and check out were fast, and there was a big parking lot in front of the hotel. There is a small pool and gym, and fresh coffee at any time. The breakfast was very good with good selections and employees keeping everything stocked. The only bad thing was the noise level due to many kids staying at the hotel in one of the nights. It's not the hotel's fault for disrespectful guests, but maybe they could've put the kids in one...

"Had to pay almost $50 more to check in early and they only had a few rooms booked. Missed breakfast as I didn't realize it closed at 9:30 .The bed slipped away as you sat on it. the floor under the bed was plywood.unfinished."

"No shoes allowed from the front door throughout the hotel. So take some slippers!! The owner makes you feel like you are invading here space and makes you feel like her time is more important than the customers time. There are lots of rules and $100 potential fine if you make a sound or wear your shoes. The owner can be quite sarcastic . Lastly She was upset by the amount paid. I booked online so they set the price not me."

"The room was clean but dated. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good with excellent service."

"Overall the stay was pleasant. The staff at front desk and restaurant were excellent. The property is going through a renovation so hard to truly judge cleanliness but there was a lot of stuff hanging about and elevators were untidy. The fridge in room didn't work and hot water takes a while to get going. Parking was okay but lower lot made me nervous. But the stay met my needs and the room was comfortable with a great view."

"This location is perfect for anyone taking the ferry to or from Newfoundland. Nothing fancy or spectacular. Overall just average. Takes hot water awhile to arrive."

"Clean room, hot tub was on deck. Super relaxing night. Close walk to main lodge for dinner and breakfast. Sauna was really wuick to heat up and had me sweating bullets. Beautiful views in a great location just off the main Cabot Trail road. Highly recommended. Will return"

"We spent 2 nights at the Telegraph Inn. Our room was on the 3rd floor which luckily I had my husband to carry the bags up the narrow staircase. We had luggage for a 2 week vacation so we had lots of luggage. Wouldn’t be so bad if you just had an overnight bag. Our room was nice, newly renovated. There is no air conditioning. "The Inn is a lovely property in a central location. Initially, we were given a room on the ground floor which had a strong smell, the owners upgraded us to a room one floor up. The owners are lovely, live offsite and respond quickly when called. The shower is lovely, great water pressure; ample towels. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The rooms are cozy, 80’s decor. Pride of ownership is evident."
