"Got a late start and had to pull over when we got tired. Keokuk fit the bill. While.the decor was older, the beds were good and shower clean. The only problem was the person who cleans the floor needs to rinse the mop. All solid surface floors were dirty, even in the breakfast area. The staff was great! The breakfast was good. The price was right.. Just so better mopping the floors. When in need, we will consider this option."

"It seemed a bit run down and we had to try two rooms because the heater didn’t work. However we did get help from the front desk and he was very nice."

"When we drove up were a bit worried, but it was as nice in the room as some of the more expensive motels. It lacked the litte extras, but we felt like the room was clean and comfortable. "

"Everything electronic, except for the refrigerator was unplugged. The bedside lamp was broken. There was soap residue on the shower drain. There was no type of soap products in the bathroom or shower. The mirror was covered with hand prints. Had to have maintenance to turn the heat on.I spent the night there simply because I had driven 600 miles. I would not stayed there if my wife was with me. At least I didn’t see anything crawling. Check in and out process is atrocious."

"I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together. It does have such potential to be amazing if there are some changes made. There are no locks on any of the doors. The house was beautifully decorated and original which we really loved, however it was very dirty. Everywhere needs vacuumed. The kitchen was available for us to use but it was also dirty. Dishes in sink, nothing wiped down, skillet on the stove with food they had cooked on before. Refrigerator was packed full so we could hardly fit our daughters milk in it. The restrooms didn’t have handsoap, my daughters rooms toilet didn’t flush and had urine in it already. There also was a wasp nest in the upstairs room with dead wasps around it. We did take advantage of the beautiful dining area and played games with a few family members. I was thankful to have an area to be able to accommodate my family for a few hours since we were visiting. I was not told that there would be cats in the house. The kitten was very cute but I’m allergic. Overall it was a strange experience and not very professional. I do hope this helps because the owners are very kind. I wish them well. "
