From the pictures I was hoping for a key west vibe.. not so much, opened the door to our 2 bedroom suite in the first floor, facing the pool and immediately hit the bed with the door. Leftover food in the mini fridge, toilet had no water to flush, wet left and at least the 2 girls that were there were very nice and the maintenance guy/ desk clerk/ maybe manager did show us...

"I really enjoy the character of historic hotels. I think they are neat if well kept up, and Historic Hotel Nichols did not disappoint. It was in walking distance to the lake/pier. "Our room smelled as if someone used the in wall air conditioner as a urinal. Bugs everywhere in the unit (127) and a clogged sink. Staff was friendly but the hotel was sold out so we had no choice but to stay"
